Wizards of Waverly Place Characters Information

Alex Russo

Alexandra Margarita "Alex" Russo is a wizard in training, who is also the main protagonist/antagonist of Wizards of Waverly Place. At age 19, she is the middle child in the Russo family: younger sister toJustin, older sister to Max, and the only daughter of Theresa and Jerry.
Confident in her magic, and undisciplined in using her powers, she is constantly competing with her brothers to keep her powers. Often times, her magic is used in such a way that she requires assistance from her brothers, a favor she, at times, needs to reciprocate much to her disdain. Her best friend is Harper Finkle. She was born in the back seat of cab #804.

Justin Russo

Justin Vincenzo Pepé Russo is the eldest of the Russo kids and is a wizard-in-training like his younger brother Max and his younger sisterAlex. He's one of the most gifted wizarding students of recent times, creating his own spell, being able to use the Russo family wand with amazing success, and being well viewed by adults and professors, bothmortal and magical.

Max Russo

Maximilion Alanzo Ernesto "Max" Russo is a wizard in training and the youngest of the the Russo trio. Like his brother and sister, he is half Mexican from his mother, Theresa and half Italian-American from his dad, Jerry.

Harper Finkle

Harper Finkle is Alex's best friend. She is one of the three mortals (Zeke, Harper, and Theresa) who knows that wizards exist and previously had an obvious crush on Justin, which was used for comedy on the show and freaked Justin out. She would get jealous of every girl that he dated/had a crush on. She is potrayed by Jennifer Stone.

Theresa Russo

Theresa Magdalena Margarita Ann Russo (née Larkin) is the mother of Alex, Justin, and Max. She runs the Waverly Sub Stationwith her husband, Jerry. As a mortal, she possesses no powers, but encourages her children's discovery of things such as school and their Latino heritage. She does not like magic, and she can not stand when she finds "magic running amuck in the house".
Theresa Russo is a typical mother. She's fussy, caring, and can be pretty embarrassing. Theresa lives in Waverly Place in Manhattan with her husband, Jerry Russo, and her children: Justin, Alex, and Max.

Jerry Russo

Jerome Pepe "Jerry" Russo is Theresa's husband, and father to Alex,Max and Justin. Born a wizard and having possessed magic powers as a child, he won the family wizard competition but gave them to his brother, Kelbo Russo, in order to marry Theresa. Jerry instructs his children in the proper practices to be used when conducting magic. He owns the Waverly Sub Station and runs the restaurant with his wife.
Jerry Russo is the average father. He is stern, protective, and is constantly annoyed by his children. Although he does not have powers, his children inherited their powers from him. It is known that he wanted to be a bull rider for his backup plan. Jerry lives on Waverly Place, a street in downtown Manhattan with his mortal wife Theresa Russo and his children: Alex, Justin, and Max. In a few episodes, he has been known to call his wife, Theresa, old.
Jerry is proud of his magical ancestry and teaches his children about new spells and the proper uses of magic in "Wizards Training Class" on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, his children often disobey his magic rules, and he has to punish them. Jerry also has three nephews born to his younger brother Kelbo, Trevor who is 17, Graeme who is 14, and Kim who is 12.
In the episode Alex in the Middle, it was revealed that Jerry was actually the one who won the competition for family wizard. Theresa explained that he beat Kelbo, but since wizards can't marry non-wizards, he gave his powers to Kelbo so he could marry Theresa. Their sister Megan is mad at him for giving his powers to Kelbo and not her, but he explains that it's because Kelbo needed them more than her; he added that while they would be fine without magic, Kelbo could not live without powers. Jerry had also said that he had once used
magic to try to impress a girl, such as in Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, but it didn't end up well, for he wound up marrying her.
In First Kiss, Jerry had stated that the spell, McReary Time Reary was a life-saver for him when he was young, probably hinting that he often gets into trouble as well.
Jerry's Parents were also mentioned in the Episode Hugh's Not Normous as Rose and Hank Russo.

Zeke Beakerman

Zachary Ezekiel "Zeke" Rosenblatt Beakerman (Dan Benson) is the best friend of Justin. Zeke is considered "cool", yet nerdy. He attends Tribeca Prep and is in advanced chemistry along with Justin. He is also part of an "alien language" club; he and Justin often speak "alien" to each other. Dan Benson, however, first appeared in "Movies", where his character's name was Zack Rosenblack, but he was later re-cast as Zeke Beakerman.

Mason Greyback
Mason Greyback is a purebred werewolf that currently is the romantic interest of the series' main character, Alex Russo.

Juliet van Heusen

Juliet Van Heusen, daughter of Alucard Van Heusen and Cindy van Heusen, is an immortal vampire aged 2,194 years. She first appears in "Wizards vs. Vampires On Waverly Place" and falls in love with Justinwhen she catches him spying on her family restaurant for his parents' restaurant. The two fight their parents for their love (similar to Romeo and Juliet) and, soon, are allowed to date despite the feud between their different families.

Gorog

Gorog was the leader of the Angels of Darkness.and one of the most evil members of the race of Angels. He ruled over the Dark Realm with a iron fist and his only desire was to fill the world with evil and darkness. He used Rosie to manipulate Justin to steal the Moral Compass and had no problem with betraying Justin after he done his purpose.
He disguised as the guard of the magical 13th floor and he has stolen a powerful spell from the Russo magic lair. He tries to turn everyone of the magical 13th floor evil and tries to take over the wizard world. The Russo kids stop him though.
